During my third year at my university, UCFB Wembley Stadium, we was tasked to create a podcast talking about the latest news and views from across QPR, with particular focus on the academy and women’s team.
I was the director for this project which meant I had to manage the group, decide final outcomes and be the main point of contact for the QPR staff to contact. With COVID-19 restricting access and filming this meant we had to record/edit this podcast fully from our homes.
In the first episode, we speak to QPR youngster Ody Alfa about his journey through the academy so far, while QPR Women captain Hayley Peacock and youth product Melanie Hall explain how they’ve been coping since the suspension of the women’s football season.
There’s also an interview with QPR in the Community Trust’s Multi-Activities Manager, Justin Stone, on how the pandemic has affected the R’s charitable arm, plus a ‘matchday in the life’ with the club’s Social Media Manager, Andy Watkins, and a QPR quiz with Under-23s duo Franklin Domi and Tom Middlehurst.
